Our Story

How it all started...

In the spring of 1987, several families in Lewistown, Montana, led by the Holy Spirit, set out to plant a new local church. In doing so, they sought the help of a contemporary charismatic church, Calvary Community Church located in Great Falls, Montana. Throughout that summer and fall, with the help of a young pastor, David Ballantyne, Calvary Community Church of Lewistown was established. The new church met regularly for Sunday Worship Services and midweek Bible studies. In January 1988, Pastor Curt and Noreen Langendorff were sent to Lewistown to help in the church planting ministry. In 1989, as the small congregation continued to grow, a storefront building was rented in downtown Lewistown.

Calvary Community became Celebration Community Fellowship in 1999 when a small Foursquare Church planted by Pastor Walt and Linda Scotson five years before, joined with the Calvary Community family. In 2005, Celebration Community Fellowship became a Foursquare Charter Church. In that same year, the church family moved into a newly purchased building on the west entrance to Lewistown on Highway 87. In October of 2023, Pastor Curt and Noreen retired with 35 years as lead pastor.

On February 1 2024 Pastor Alex Davies was appointed by Foursquare to be Lead Pastor.

Expanding the vision...

From its beginnings, this church family had a clear prophetic vision of the Lord's ministry call. Celebration Church was anointed to be a worshipping church, experienced through the use of contemporary music styles. God provided many gifted and talented musicians making it possible to minister through performance and public events. Celebration has been a catalyst for unity in the Christian community, called to tear down the walls that divide denominations and local church families. Our ministry call is often to those who do not or cannot find ministry help elsewhere. Above all else, we have a developing relationship with our God and a Godly relationship with each other.

Our Celebration family is bound together in the love and lordship of Jesus Christ. His grace has changed our lives forever.
